My Blog's Next Steps (Probably)

Reflections on the Week: Progress and Challenges

So, it’s been a long and enlightening week. First off, I’ve realized I had no clue where to start with some of my projects. I have about half of the study guide *sort of* ready, and the rest is still floating around in the clouds. But I know I’ll get there—step by step.

It’s been a bit challenging to find the right resources and figure out exactly what I need to do to get it done. There’s also quite a bit left to do for the website. For instance, I haven’t added any social media links yet because, well, I still need to set up all those accounts! To be honest, I’ve never actually used social media before, so this is all new to me. But I’m sure I can figure it out with some trial and error.

Updates and Blog Direction

It took me a while to post this update. The first post was made when I was setting up the website, so please excuse the posting gap—it won’t look like that in the future! I’ve been reflecting on the type of content I want to share here and have come up with three initial categories:

1. Reflections: What I’ve learned each week that left a meaningful impact on me.

2. Bible Questions: Exploring questions about the Bible that others might be curious about.

3. Structure and Habits: Tips for creating habits and spiritual disciplines to grow closer to Christ.

I’ll also sprinkle in some spontaneous posts here and there for variety, but I want to ensure there’s clear direction and categories for readers to follow. Having a mix of structure and creativity feels like the right balance.

A Peek at What’s Coming

Here’s a sneak peek into one of the ideas I’m most excited about: sharing a daily or weekly schedule! I’ve found that dedicating specific times to God has really helped me, and I think it could help others find structure in their own faith journeys. Certain habits and spiritual disciplines can make a huge difference, and I’ll dive deeper into those in a future post.

I’m also toying with the idea of creating a space for readers to share their own stories or ask questions they’d like answered. It feels like a great way to build connection and community—it’s something I truly want this blog to be about.

Visual Content and Social Media

I know some people connect better with visual content, so I’m working on that, too. I’ve already decided on a creative direction for animations and visuals, but I’m still waiting for guidance and confirmation that it’s the right path forward. It’s exciting, even if I’m not entirely sure what I’m doing yet!

The social media setup is still on my to-do list, and while it’s a bit daunting, I’m confident I’ll figure it out in time. For now, I’ll focus on laying the foundation.

Parting Encouragement

Really all this is up to God. I’ll do what I can until he changes it all. Our plans are rarely are the ones we go with in the end. His plans are more fun in my opinion. To close, I’d like to leave you with a Bible verse that I found:

“And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.” – Galatians 6:9

This verse reminds me to keep pushing forward, even when the path feels unclear. I hope it encourages you, too, wherever you are in your journey. It’s a bit hard but I know the Holy Spirit is with me every step of the way.
